| Hello I download this and installed it ony my cingular 8125 (WM6), but I don't see the cool theme as shown in the picture above. I see where it tells me how many v-mail, calls, email and etc... why didn't my theme change? |

| Because this program is not a theme. It IS the v-mail, call, email and sms line. Thus it is called PeraCount. The theme can be found at lakeridge forums. It is a Wisbar Advance 2 Vista theme. |

Hiyas, I installed this on my Treo 700wx (Verizon) and the program just says [Initializing PeraCount] at the bottom of the screen.
Any ideas on how to get past this?
Thanks in advance.

| Click on the line where it says [Initializing PeraCount]. Select "Check Missed Calls." Then go back to the Today screen and see if it has changed. Let me know. |

That did it, thanks!
I'm no expert on this stuff...
is there any way to make it look as nice as your preview image with free software? I can't spend $20 just for a Today Screen! |

| Well, if you are talking about the top and bottom glossy bars, then the only way I know to do that is with Wisbar Advance 2. The HTC Home plugin (big clock) can be found at PPCGeeks.com. |

Please check, you may need to do one or all of the following...
Make sure that you install this ON YOUR DEVICE. It will not work if installed to storage card.
Go to \Program Files\Perasite Software\PeraCount and run install.mscr (if you get an error that .mscr is not registered, then you didn't do the next step)
Install the MortScript files from http://sto-helit.de/index.php?module=download&action=view&entry=65
Run the install.mscr again.
Now check your today screen. |

| Is there a cab of the current version or a way we can upgrade the old version without mortscript being included? I'd like to include this in a rom that already has mortscript included and the space savings would be significant. |

|

Hi, teknoshock. Just a quick question about using the Wisbar Vista icons on the PeraCount UI above. Would I have to install and use Wisbar, or can PeraCount simply use Wisbar themes?
Love PeraCount (thanks!) but want to skin it with some cool icons. |

PeraCount is ONLY the single line on the today screen that shows Email, SMS, Missed Calls and Voicemail counts. In order to get the theme, you will need Wisbar Advance.

Great idea! Saves Today real estate, and uses far less resources (and battery) than others.
One request-- I do not have Mortscript separately installed, is there a simple way to edit a particular file to remove the voicemail count and item select, or might it be possible for you to cook up a CAB that only contains missed calls, mail and text? Thanks for a great product.
P.S.: This would be useful to me, and probably others who forward their missed calls to a service (in this case Callwave) which sends the audio message back to my email account as a WAV file as well as converts the voice message to text. Thanks again. |

| Sure, ebb, this can be done. Did you want the drop down menu removed as well? Or just the Voicemail count? Both items are in several locations in the code, so I will put it together once I receive your response. Please describe exactly what you want it to look like... |

Ideally, it would:
Remove voicemail item and count from the plugin.
Remove voicemail item from the drop down menu.
Increase the font size of the remaining items and counts in the plugin to occupy the plugin space (even if it makes the plugin wider).
Really appreciate the quick respone. I'd better re-activate my paypal account! |

OK, I have removed everything to do with voicemail and increased fontsize from 8 pt. to 10 pt. I tried making it bigger, but then it looks strange next to other today plugins. Let me know what you think.
Edit: Download removed. If you would like a customized version of the software for yourself, please send me a Private Message via the forum and I will contact you to get details.

| I just realized that the .cab file attached in the first post was not running the config file properly, so I re-uploaded with the corrected .cab. Ebb, the one I created for you has the updated file as well. |

Perfecto!!! This is exactly what I needed. Thanks so much. Just a tip to anyone else, the new cab does not uninstall the original as part of its installation, so if you don't want both, just uninstall the original first.

| Glad it's what you wanted! I made it have different info than the standard PeraCount so that I could install it fresh and insure that nothing from my PeraCount install would cause any issues with this one. That is why it doesn't uninstall the original one. So like ebb said, if you want to use this version, just uninstall the original and install this and you are good to go. |

| One thing I now notice (not sure if this was the case with the original cab) is that when I select "Check Email" after an email is received, it correctly takes me to the inbox for my email account, but it does not erase the email notification icon in the taskbar, as occurs if I use the WM messaging plugin (or was also the case with phonealarm). Is this something that can be done? |

| Strange, it eliminates the email notification on mine. I have no code written to eliminate that icon. Once you mark the email as read (or actually read it) WM is supposed to modify that notification by itself. All the menu does is launch the standard messaging app opened to your email account (as opposed to SMS.) |

Just to leave no doubt, I finally figured out what the phantom email count was from. Before installing peracount, I had installed phoneAlarm, and although I stopped running phoneAlarm on the today screen, I did not uninstall it. Once phoneAlarm was completely uninstalled (do not save settings on prompt during the uninstall, everything with peracount worked fine. So the problem was caused by phoneAlarm and not peracount.
This is a great plugin with a much smaller footprint than spb phonesuite or phoneAlarm. No profile switching, but that's easy comm manager apps and new devices becoming more one-handed and finger friendly. |

Problem!!!
Links to the store don't work today.
If it's true that you don't have to install Mortscript to use PeraCount, I want it!!! |

Wow, you caught me doing an update I am updating to a new shopping cart software and it should be done within 20 minutes. Mortscript is required, but is part of the installation. Total install is only about 250 kb including Mortscript. Everything you need is contained within the one .cab file. Give me a few minutes to finish the updates |
